NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

IN COMMISSIONERS COURT

Public awareness and understanding of county government has been a long-standing concern to county officials. To help, the Texas Association of Counties is happy to launch a new website, called TexasCounties4U. TexasCounties4U helps counties address the needs of the average citizen by featuring online instructional videos that explain in detail how citizens can access various county services.

The goals of the new website are to:
    · Increase public knowledge about county operations,

    · Enhance effective utilization of county services,

    · Reduce county staff time by answering common questions about services online,

    · Improve public’s perception of county government in Texas , and

    · Emphasize customer service as a key county asset.

There is also a link to all Texas county websites, educational materials and curriculum for Texas schools, county general information/data and other related county-related information geared to the needs of the general public. New videos and more information will continue to be added throughout the year.
